Lorraine E. Morse age 84 of Niles, Michigan died Thursday, December 15th at Lakeland Medical Center in Berrien Center, Michigan. Lorraine was born July 12, 1927 in Allegan, Michigan to the late Francis J. and Arvada Hall Shimmons. On September 3, 1960 in Allegan, Michigan she married Albert H. Morse who preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1998. Also preceding her in death in 2008 was her companion Les Akey of Niles, Michigan.Survivors include a daughter Robyn Dickey of Torrance, California; a son Mike Morse of Niles, Michigan; 5 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Marva Chapel of Allegan, Michigan, Mardell McVey of Lansing, Michigan, Myrna Shimmons of Coldwater, Michigan and Marcia Wait of Allegan, Michigan.The family will be gathering in the spring to celebrate her life. Visitation will not be offered. The family is being served by Swem Chapel Buchanan, Michigan.
