Michael R. Blaney

Michael R. Blaney, 58, of Niles, Michigan died suddenly Monday, January 17th, in his home. He was born June 27, 1953 in Jackson, Michigan to the late Donald & Doris (Liskey) Blaney. On June 19, 1976 in Buchanan he married Brenda Reutter Blaney who survives, along with a son, Chris Blaney of Niles, a daughter, Kathleen Blaney of San Diego, CA, a sister, Patricia (Frank) Hubbel of Brooklyn, MI, a brother, William (Joyce) Blaney of Thousand Oaks, CA, and his stepmother, Mary Jo Blaney of Buchanan, MI.Mike graduated from Ferris State University and worked at several area automotive dealerships as a body shop manager and owned and operated his own body shop for the past twenty years. He loved boating, bike riding and snowmobiling. He was an active member of the Four Flags Snowmobile Club of Niles. He was also very fond of his cat and dog, Mitten and Nikki.
