Sanford's Obituary

Sanford E. Peck age 97 of Buchanan, Michigan died Saturday morning February 12th peacefully in his home after a brief illness. Sanford was born April 16, 1913 in Marshfield, Wisconsin to the late Benjamin & Florence Peck. He graduated from college in 1948 with a degree in math and physics and received his mechanical engineering degree from Vanderbilt University. In 1935 he married Oline King who preceded him in death. On May 26, 1995 he married Jacqueline Collins who survives. He and Jacqueline moved to Buchanan where they raised wine grapes on their farm. Sanford is survived by sons Neil (Barbara) Peck of Chicago and Robert of Buchanan. Stepdaughters Elizabeth (John) Akers of Elizabeth City, N.C. and Mary (Dan) Pfeifle of Niles, Mi. Stepsons Mark (Jennifer) Collins of Buchanan and Steven (Ladonna) Collins of Centerville, Ohio. Grandchildren Tammy (Ron) Kassak, Roy (Wendy) Sweeny, Chelsey Peck and Cody Peck. Great-Grandchildren Christopher Sweeny, Nichole Atherton and Melissa (Ed) Lijewski. Great-Great-Grandchildren Brianna Sweeny, Emerson Atherton and Landon & Max Lijewski. Step Grandchildren Heather (Harold) Smith, Gavin Pfeifle, Desiree Parker, Johnathan Akers, William Collins and Christina Collins. A daughter Ella May Patterson preceded him in death.Friends may call Monday, February 14th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Swem Chapel in Buchanan where services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. With Rev.
