Mary Pauline Neumann

Mary Pauline Neumann, 76, of Buchanan died Monday, July 5, 2010 of natural causes. She was born March 3, 1934 to the late James and Irene Gatewood. She married Rudy Vernon Neumann who preceded her in death in 2009. Surviving are daughters, Mary Ann (Rob) Binkley of Buchanan, Carrie Irene Chappell of Denver, CO, Amy (Larry) Metzger of Galien, MI and Laura Chappell of Dayton, OH; sons, Derrell (Edy) Chappell of Buchanan and Danny Chappell of Galien; sisters, Norma Jean Sharp, Joann Petro and Alice Lansdale; brothers, Buddy, Bob, Clark and Jimmy Gatewood; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Rudy Vernon Neumann in 2009; two sisters, Lavern and Linda and a brother, Jessie “Tiny” Gatewood. Mary was an LPN working for Unity and later, Visitor's Hospital in Buchanan, Memorial Home Care and finally, a healthcare bus aide for Laidlaw. She was very active in the South County Democratic Club and enjoyed quilting and flower gardening. The funeral service will be Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 12:00pm with visitation prior, from 10:30 am – 12pm at the Swem Chapel, Buchanan. Pastor Wayne Shearier of the Holy Trinity Church in Niles will officiate. Cremation will follow.
