Evelyn Marie Gardiner, 92, of Buchanan, Michigan died Monday August 15th at Woodland Terrace Niles. Evelyn was born March 8, 1919 in Oronoko Township, Michigan to the late Peter and Hazel Shepardson Smith who preceded her in death.On October 5th 1940 she married Forrest E.(Stub) Gardiner at the Hills Corner Bible Church in Glendora, Michigan He preceded her in death on March 1, 2007.She is survived by three daughters: Lois King and companion Jim Carter of Waterviliet, Linda (Edwin) Brunke- Galien, Nancy (William) Herrman –Buchanan. Two Son's Forrest W. (Kimberley) Gardiner, Buchanan, George (Joanne) Gardiner, St. Joseph. Also surviving are 15 Grandchildren, 36 Great- Grandchildren and 4 Great -Great Grandchildren. Two son's Roy Gardiner and Howard Dean Gardiner preceded her in death along with four brothers. Evelyn enjoyed croqueting Rugs, Gardening, baking and canning. She was a member of the Buchanan Christian Church Visitation will be Thursday August 18th from 4-7 p.m. at Swem Chapel in Buchanan. The Funeral Service's will be held on Friday the 19th at 10:00 a.m. in the Buchanan Christian Church 112 W. 3rd. St. With Dr. Barry Thornton Pastor officiating.Burial will be take place at Wee Saw Cemetery, Glendora, Michigan.Memorial Contributions may be made to the Buchanan Christian Church 112 W. 3rd.
