Barbara J. Rifenberg

Barbara J. Rifenberg, 80, of Niles, Michigan passed away January 18, 2011 at her home of natural causes. Services will be held on Thursday January 27, 2011 at 11:00 A.M at Swem Chapel, 301 W. Front St., Buchanan with Pastor Patricia Ramsden of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan. A time to visit with the family will be held on Wednesday the 26th from 4-8 p.m. at Swem Chapel. Memorial Contributions may be made in her memory to First Presbyterian Church, 115 W. Barbara graduated from Niles High School in 1949 and spent her entire lifetime in the Niles-Buchanan Area. On March 25, 1951 in Niles Michigan she married Dale O. Rifenberg who preceded her in death on March 23, 1999. Barbara is survived one daughter Marcia Rifenberg of Berrien Springs, MI; two son's Tim Rifenberg of San Clemente, CA and Steve Rifenberg of Springboro, OH; two grandchildren Jaime Marbeiter and Logan Rifenberg.She is also preceded in death by two sisters, Charlene Statler, Donna Carpenter and a brother Chuck Basso.
