Linda Marie Weaver Davis

Linda Marie Weaver Davis, age 64, of Buchanan, Michigan, died Monday in her home after battling cancer for over a year. Linda was born January 29, 1948, in Niles to Carl & Beverly (Scott) Weaver. Linda attended Buchanan Schools and graduated from Bell School in Niles. She retired from Brandywine Schools system, where she had been employed as a bus driver who took her job very seriously and loved all the children she transported. Survivors include; her mother, Beverly Weaver of Buchanan; two daughters, Lawana J. Melton Huff of North Carolina and Angelia R. Davis of Niles; a son, Lynn Melton of Buchanan; and four stepchildren. Also surviving is sister, Joan Weaver, of Buchanan; Linda’s companion, Dave Piar of Detroit, Michigan; grandchildren, Larry Melton, Kaytlyn Melton , Auriel Dunnuck, Dominck Cox, Alyssa Cox; and one great-grandchild, Liam Keefe. She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Chad Dunnuck; great-grandchild, Damon Melton; her father, Carl Weaver in 2006; and brother, Carl Weaver Jr. in 2011 Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Swem Chapel. Services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Swem Chapel with Pastor Rob McPherson of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
