Clara Liska

Clara M. Liska age 83 of Buchanan, died Saturday August 13th at Lakeland Regional Medical Center Niles. She was born January 14, 1928 in Galien, Michigan to the late Clarence and Esther Metzger Potter who preceded her in death. On December 29th 1951 in Angola, Indiana she married Peter M. Liska who preceded her in death on October 11, 2003. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Galien and the United Methodist Church. Surviving is a daughter: Diane Liska of Buchanan, Two sons Dan Liska of Vail Arizona, Jeffrey (Patty) Liska of Poulsbo, Washington. A granddaughter: Stephanie Valentine, and four great Grandchildren. And one Sister Norma Harker of Buchanan, Michigan Clara was preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers. Marjorie Gilbert, Doris Swartz, Lorna Nelson, Wanda McGawan, Joan Luther and Yvonne Krieger, Brothers Richard Potter and Laverne Potter. Visitation will be Wednesday August 17th from 5-8 p.m. in the Swem Chapel Buchanan. Funeral Services will be Thursday the 18th. At 10:30 a.m. also at Swem Chapel, Pastor David Mitchell will be officiating; Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Clara's name may be of the downer choice.
