Beverly Jean Rogers

Beverly Jean Rogers age 84 passed from this life to the arms of Jesus on- Sunday June 12th at 3:25 a.m. in Caring Junction Mishawaka, Ind. Words cannot express the hole Beverly leaves in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be forever missed.Beverly was born on October 9, 1926 in Buchanan Township, Michigan to Floyd and Helen (Rodeen) Weaver. On April 25, 1953 she married Richard Rogers at St. Anthony's Parish in Buchanan. Thus began their life together until Richard's death on 2003. Beverly & Richard welcomed 5 children into the world: Donna (Jon) Korzun of Dowagiac, Joel (Anita) Rogers of Niles, Mark (Fran) Rogers of Norwich Connecticut, Dana (John) Neldon of South Bend and Robert (Jessica) Rogers of Niles all of whom survive. Beverly is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.Beverly enjoyed farm life on the rolling 80 acre farm she shared with her husband and children. She enjoyed gardening, antiques, fishing, bird watching & feeding, cooking, canning and was not afraid to tackle any new task. In the past she had been employed as a telephone operator and as a past volunteer for the Weesaw Township Ambulance.Beverly touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and loyal friend. She never turned down an opportunity to help others by giving of her self daily. In later years, Beverly enjoyed researching the family tree with her brother Gerald “Whitey” Weaver who survives.Friends and family will gather for a time to visit on Tuesday the 14th from 4-8 pm At Swem Chapel in Buchanan, Michigan. A Celebration of her life serviced will be held on Wednesday the 15th at 10:30 a.m. also at Swem Chapel.
