Louise M. Cook

Louise M. Cook age 86, of Buchanan, Michigan, formerly of Galien, died Friday June 24, 2011 at Bristol House of Caretel Inns in St. Joseph, Michigan.She was born March 8th, 1925 in South Bend, Indiana to Myron and Esther (Guy) Smallwood, who preceded her in death. On September 22, 1946 in South Bend, Indiana she married Jack C. Cook, who survives along with two sons David (Brenda) Cook of Galien and Kevin (Holly) Cook of Trufant, Michigan and three grandchildren Barry Christian Cook (and wife Beth), Erin Colleen Cook and Jared Marshall Cook. Also surviving are two great grandchildren, Simon and Elliott Cook. A granddaughter, Raelinda Kay Marie Cook preceded her in death.Louise was a teller for over 30 years at the former ICB Bank of Galien. She and Jack loved to travel. Louise enjoyed gardening, bird watching and animals. She was member of the United Methodist Church in Galien. Visitation will be on Sunday the 26th from 4-8 p.m. at Swem Chapel in Buchanan. A Celebration of Life Service will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Swem Chapel, with Pastor Russell K. Logston officiating. Memorial Contribution may be made to Galien United Methodist Church 208 N.
