Cherilyn Sue Rzepka

Cherilyn Sue Rzepka, age 62, of Decatur, Michigan, formerly of Buchanan, died August 1st, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, Indiana. She was born October 7, 1949, in Niles, Michigan to Jerold & Jean (Myers) Carlson who preceded her in death. On January 7, 1989, in Las Vegas, Nevada she married Mark Rzepka who survives along with a daughter, Kelly Renee ( Jeff) Blodgett of Vicksburg, Michigan; a son, Michael Ryan ( Kim) Herman of Three Rivers, Michigan; a sister, LuAnn (Ron) Wisniewski of South Bend, Indiana; two brothers, Scott ( Debbie) Carlson of Charlotte, N.C. and Rene (Linda) Carlson of Ellabell, Ga; along with 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Other survivors include her mother in-law Phyllis Rzepka and a brother-in-law Gary (Teresa) Rzepka both of South Bend, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Bernard (Jake) Rzepka and brother-in-law, Michael Rzepka.Cherilyn had worked at the former Clark Equipment Company in Buchanan and in the parts department of Tyler Refrigeration Company in Niles. She was a member of the Women of the Moose # 449 and the American Legion Auxiliary of Buchanan. She enjoyed playing golf and camping.A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, August 6th, 12:00 noon at Swem Chapel in Buchanan where friends may call two hours prior to the service.
