Rosemary's Obituary

Rosemary P. Wesner, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at her home in Buchanan Township. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 4, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 509 W. Fourth Street, Buchanan, with Father Carl Peltz officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday, April 3, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Swem Chapel, 301 W. Front Street, Buchanan.Rosemary was born on April 18, 1929, to Gottfried and Clara (Heney) Scholl. She met the love of her life, Albert Wesner, and they were married on April 24, 1954, at Sacred Heart Church in Indianapolis. She was the loving wife and homemaker for 57 years to Albert.Rosemary enjoyed being actively involved in her children’s lives. Many memories are cherished on the family farm where she loved cooking for large groups, such as the annual corn roast for her sons’ Boy Scout Troop 541. She taught many young ladies and her daughters how to cook in the Clover Leaf 4-H Club. She always enjoyed spending time with her Indianapolis friends and family, along with singing German songs.Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, and parents and sister, Elsie Roehling.She is survived by her five children – Rodney (Billinda) Wesner, Roger (Lynn) Wesner, Allen Wesner, Susan (Stephen) Lentz, and Jane (Daniel) Mitchell; 10 grandchildren – Michael, Jason, Sarah, Allie (Wesner); Eric and Heather (Lentz); Adam, Kevin, Erica (Mitchell); and Michael Larsen. Two great-grandchildren – Jacob and Monica Larsen; her brother, Frank Scholl; two nieces – Sharon Grubbs and Joan Scholl; two nephews – Edward and William Roehling; and her special angel friend of three years, Myra.Rosemary had a strong faith in God that guided her to become the special and caring person she was.
