Dilan Jay Shearer

Dilan Jay Shearer, age 16, of Niles, Mi. Died Sunday June 17th, from injuries received in an auto accident on Oak Forrest Road in Bertrand Twp. He was born Feb. 14, 1996, in South Bend Indiana. Dilan was a student at Buchanan High School who had just completed 10th Grade. He enjoyed participating in Football, Baseball, Floor Hockey, Snowmobiling and riding dirt bikes. Survivors include his parents Dan & Easter Baber of Niles, MI, his father Darick Shearer & Amie Lake of Buchanan, MI; grandparents, Mike & Connie Shearer of Bridgman, Joan Shearer of Owensboro, Kentucky, Darrel & Patsy Williams of Buchanan, Dan & Connie Baber of Buchanan, and Dale & Sue Hamilton of North Carolina; brothers, Dalton Shearer, Darren Shearer of Niles, Tyler Baber of Niles, Dawson Lake of Buchanan; and his close friend, A.J. Reed of BuchananVisitation will be Wednesday, June 20, from 3:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Swem Chapel in Buchanan. Service will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Buchanan Christian Church, 112 W. 3rd Street.
