Gerald L. Rehmel

Gerald L. (Gary) Rehmel, age 69, of Buchanan died suddenly Friday, August 31st. He was born January 30, 1943 in Buchanan to the late Charles and Mildred Walden Rehmel who preceded him in death. On September 11, 1963 in Buchanan he married Bonnie Eva Richter who survives; along with three daughters, Margaret (Sam) Wills of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mary (Edward) Stefanek of South Bend, Indiana and Michelle (Clifford)Pruett of Buchanan; two sons, Gary Lee Rehmel of Buchanan and Jason (Brandy) Rehmel of Buchanan; nine grandchildren, Garrett, Grant & Gavin Stefanek, Brooke Wesner & Emily, Alyssa, Jaxon, Jakob & Johnithan Rehmel .Gary had worked at Clark Equipment Co. for 10 years, Berrien County Drain Commission for 28 years, as well as driving truck for the Buchanan Feed Mill and Marsh Farms. His hobbies included riding Belgian horses, fishing, gardening, hunting, dancing and farming. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 4th at Swem Chapel in Buchanan from 4 to 8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, September 5th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Buchanan with Father Carl Peltz officiating.
