Louis M. Gray

Louis M. Gray, age 85, of Buchanan died Tuesday, October 2 in his home after a long illness. He was born February 27, 1928 in Buchanan to the late Louis M. & Marguerite (Barnes) Gray who preceded him in death. He married Gladys (Lucy) Freeman in 1978 in Logan, Utah. She survives; along with three daughters, Mary (David) Newmen, Becky (Ed) Gray both of North Carolina and Amy (Reid) Mann of Buchanan; a son, Mark (Ann) Gray of Seattle Washington; three step daughters, Gail Gasser, Wendy Andrews both of Mesa, Arizona and Linda Cantwell of Boise, Idaho; a step son Ron Andrews of Buchanan; also surviving are twenty-eight grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Mike and a sister Gayle.He worked as a range technician for the U.S. Forest Service in Utah retiring in 1991. Louis was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and American Legion Post # 51 in Buchanan. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday November 11th at First United Methodist Church in Buchanan, Michigan. Pastor Rob McPherson will be officiating.
