Nellie Mori

Nellie Mori age 83 of Buchanan died Thursday May 10th in her home after a long illness.She was born April 30th in Chicago to the late Anthony & Esther Giglo Calomino . On October 16th, 1954, in Chicago she married Ernest Mori, who preceded her in death on September 2, 2000.She is survived by one daughter, Ramona (Michael D.) Gibson, Berrien Springs; two sons, Glenn (Arlene) Mori, of Chicago, and Dennis (Bruce) Mori, Norfolk, VA; three grandchildren, Hannah Gibson, Jagr Mori, and Mara Mori; along with two sisters, Molly Horan, Palos Heights, IL, and Phyllis Cassano, Joliet, IL; and a brother, Dominick Calomino of Monee, Illinois. Nellie worked for the Fred S. Carbon Company in Buchanan for twenty-one years where she held the position of Secretary. Her family always came first and looked forward to having family and friends gather in her home to enjoy the meals she prepared. Visitation will be Sunday May 13th, from 3 – 8 pm at Swem Chapel in Buchanan. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Monday May 14th, at12:00 Noon at Swem Chapel with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
