Karen F. Reid

Karen F. Reid, age 76, of Niles died Monday, September 17, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana. She was born September 20, 1935 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to the late William McGue and Mildred Eileen Rose. On August 7, 1970 in Plymouth, Indiana she married Haven D. Reid who preceded her in death on August 12, 1984.She is survived by a daughter, Susan Todd; sons, Steve Tidey and Donald Tidey; two sisters, Rita (Charles) Moyer of Niles, and Carol Shields of Battle creek; a step-sister, Ilea Henderson of Kalamazoo; a brother, William (Marty) McGue Jr. also of Kalamzoo; and five grandchildren.Karen was a retired LPN who had worked at St Paul’s Retirement Community. She enjoyed doing ceramics and working in her yard. Visitation will be held Friday, September 21, from 4-8 p.m. at Swem Chapel in Buchanan, where a service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Greg Rensberry, pastor of Mapleview Free Methodist Church of Niles, officiating.
