Anna's Obituary

Anna Louise Rollison, age 90, of Niles, Michigan, made her voyage to her heavenly home on May 11, 2013. She was born and raised in Leesburg, Loudoun County, Virginia, where she lived until eight years ago when she moved to Niles to be close to her family. She was born to Raymond L. and V. Louise Hough on October 21, 1922, who both pre-deceased her. She married the love of her life, Norman G. Rollison, at the age of 19 and they were married 43 years before he passed away. She was also pre-deceased by two step-children, Charles N. Rollison and Shirley A. (Rollison) Fulcher, who she raised from small children, as well as her brothers, Louis T. Hough and Roger L. Hough, a sister, Joyce E. Sweeney, and her grandson, Todd Rollison.Anna is survived by one daughter, Charlotte A. (Louis) Staubs, of Niles, MI, and one son, Raymond G. (Reba Lynn) Rollison of Champaign, IL., her son-in-law, Thomas V. Fulcher, Nashville, TN; a sister, Frances E. Barbina, of Florida and four granddaughters, Deena Trainor, Lori Dorsey, Lynda Redington, and Kim Boner, and three grandsons: Doug Rollison, Michael Rollison, and T.V. Fulcher Jr., as well as eleven great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Her main priority was caring for her family in their growing up years, and then later in life she became very involved in the RSVP program at the Leesburg Senior Center. Several times she was named Volunteer of the Year for Loudoun County, which gives great pride to her family. In 2004 she received the “2004 Hall of Stars Award” for donating 8,903 hours of volunteer service through the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program of Loudoun County. One thing we would like for people to remember about our Mom is that she never saw a baby or child that she did not love. She worked in the nursery at the Leesburg Church of the Nazarene for over 30 years, and usually carried candy in her pocket to share with a child who passed her way. In restaurants, in malls, or on the street, she always had to stop and speak to a little one, and we could always tell how special they were to her.She was a member of the Leesburg Church of the Nazarene most of her life, until moving to Niles eight years ago where she became a member of First Church of the Nazarene, St. Joseph, MI.A Memorial Service in her honor will be held at Swem Chapel, Buchanan, MI, on Friday, May 17th with visitation from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., and service beginning at 11:00 A.M.
