C. Lorraine Moyer

C. Lorraine Moyer, 90, of Holland, Michigan formerly of Buchanan died Saturday March 8th at The Inn at Freedom Village, Holland.  She was born Aug. 9, 1923 in Buchanan to the late Archie & Myrtle (Boyle) Morley who preceded her in death. On June 19, 1943 in Jacksonville, Florida she married John I. Moyer who preceded her in death June 3, 1991. Also preceding her in death was a son, Melvin. Lorraine is survived by a son Kim (Joan) Moyer of Buchanan and a daughter Joan (Robert) Fein of Holland, Michigan, along with four grandchildren:  Bente (Jeff) Weitekamp, Betsy Jackson, Nicole Moyer, and Jonathan Moyer and four great grandchildren. Other survivors are a sister Joyce (Donald) Stibbs of Buchanan. Lorraine graduated from Buchanan High School in 1941, and had worked at the former Union State Bank and Clark Equipment Co in Buchanan.  She retired from the City of Buchanan in 1985 where she held the position of City Treasure. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church for seventy years, where she had served as a Deacon and Elder. Visitation will be Wednesday March 12th starting at 11:00 a.m. at Swem Chapel. A service celebrating her life will be on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. following the visitation.  Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan.
