Ruth J. May

Ruth J. May, age 84, of Buchanan died Saturday March 9th at Memorial Hospital South Bend. She was born June 14, 1928, in Weesaw Twp. Michigan to the late Dan & Martha (Granke) Miller who preceded her in death. Ruth is survived by her husband Maurice May who she married January 10, 1953, in Niles, Michigan. Also surviving is a daughter Kathleen (Ronald) Bush of Comstock Park, Michigan and a son Michael May of Galien. Also surviving are four grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and one sister, Martha (Jim) May of Buchanan. A sister Jeanette Ackerman and three brothers, Lee, Douglas and Jack Miller preceded her in death. Ruth retired from Electro Voice in 1985 where she had worked twenty eight years.Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 12th, at Swem Chapel from 6-8 p.m. A service celebrating her life will be Wednesday the 13th at 11:00 a.m., also at Swem Chapel, with Pastor Randy Pearman officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Buchanan Township Fire Department Food Basket Program for needy families.
