Rex Franklin Jackson

Rex Franklin Jackson, Jr., died Tuesday, June 17th,  at his home after a brief illness. He was born March 31, 1982 in Michigan City, Indiana to Rex and the late Wendlyn Sue (Staff) Jackson. He is survived by his parents, Rex & Dell Jackson of Buchanan; his fiancée, Katie Lange of Stevensville, MI who he was to marry on June 21st; sisters, Misty (John Van Tuyle) Whelpley of Buchanan and Lisa (Andy) Ott of Galien; brothers, Eric Davis of Galien, Ron (Kimberly Sturma) Richardson of Middlebury, IN, and Tyrone (Connie) Jackson of Sawyer, MI; and numerous nephews and nieces. Rex was employed as a mechanic at Tyler Honda in Stevensville. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing hunting and all out of door activities. Visitation will be Thursday, at Swem Chapel in Buchanan from 5-8 p.m. A service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Swem Chapel with Pastor Robert Hamilton of Galien St. Peters Church officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
