Diane Marie Van Blaricum

Diane Marie Van Blaricum, age 60, of Niles, died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 12, in the emergency room at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles. Diane was born May 15, 1953 in Niles, to Franklin and Fern (Kahlmorgan) Williams. She was preceded in death by her father. On July 28, 1995 in Niles, she married Peter “Pete” Van Blaricum who survives, along with two sons, William (Tona) Crooker of Niles; and Andrew Crooker of Westminster, Colorado; a stepdaughter, Brynn Van Blaricum of North Liberty, Iowa; her mother, Fern Williams of Buchanan; and two sisters, Sandra (Wayne) Whitmyer, Niles and Joann (Jerry) Pollitt of Buchanan; and one brother, Richard Williams of La Porte, Indiana. Diane enjoyed fishing for blue gills, playing the piano, and especially, spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Buchanan. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 15, from 4-8 p.m. at Swem Chapel in Buchanan, where services celebrating her life will be on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rob McPherson officiating.
