Wanda Jean Jesse

Wanda Jean Jesse, 88, of Buchanan died Sunday, September 15th at Lakeland Specialty Center in Berrien Center, Michigan, after a long illness. She was born March 10, 1925 in Buchanan to the late Harold & Helen (Sands) Kramer who preceded her in death. On June 17th, 1950 in Buchanan she married Sigmund Jesse who preceded her in death on February 13th 1985. She was a lifetime resident of Buchanan. As a young girl she worked as a clerk in her parent’s meat market and grocery store. Wanda was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 61 years and Women of the Moose for 51 years where she worked as a waitress. She enjoyed bowling, traveling and trips to the casino with her extended family. Services will be on Wednesday, September 25th at 11:00 a.m. at Swem Chapel in Buchanan where a visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
