Annie Seltzer

Annie Seltzer, 82, of Buchanan, MI, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014 at home with family at her side.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday May 9th, at 10:00 A.M.  at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 3115 Niles-Buchanan Rd., Buchanan with Retired SDA Pastor Robert Hess  officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in Niles. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday May 8th from 4-8 P.M. at Swem Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice at Home or Operation Christmas Child. She married Sheldon Seltzer on August 23, 1953 in Phoenix, AZ. Annie then raised three children and worked at several jobs including teacher, nurse’s aide, and secretary all while being a constant support to her husband in his ministry. Annie will be remembered for her giving nature, her wonderful crafting abilities including crocheting, knitting, and embroidery, and her devotion to her family, friends, and church members. Annie never forgot to acknowledge anyone’s special days. Annie is survived by her husband Sheldon of Buchanan; daughters, Sharon (Ronald) Symonds of Berrien Springs and Sandra Seltzer of Niles; son Bryan Seltzer of Buchanan; grandsons, Mark (Alicia) Symonds, Kevin (Jennifer) Symonds, and Zach Symonds; one great-grandson, Jacen; sister, Rosie Jones of Redlands, CA and an extended family.  Annie was preceded in death by her parents.
