Sharon Clair Walter

Sharon Clair Walter, 77, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014 at The Bailey Center Hospice in Saint Augustine, FL after a brief illness.  She was born in Buchanan, MI on September 19, 1936 to the late Harry W. Ritter and Laura Ritter Graham.  She married Scott C. Walter on June 23, 1956 and resided in Niles, MI. Sharon was a devoted and loving mother to her three children, Stephanie Walter Masterson of St. Augustine, FL, Stanton Walter of Mishawaka, IN and Steven Walter of Niles, MI.  She adored her five grandchildren Zachariah, Joseph, Renee, Dawn and Becky, and her two great grandchildren Levon and Caden.  Sharon’s life revolved around her large extended family, whom she loved dearly and was loved in return. She was preceded in death by her husband Scott. Surviving are siblings Patricia Morris of Madison, WI, Harry E. Ritter of Niles, MI and Jerry L. Ritter of Pinehurst, NC. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 6:30 pm at Swem Chapel , 301 West Front St. Buchanan, MI.  In lieu of flowers the family asks you donate to the National Epilepsy Foundation or your local community Hospice.
