Arthur's Obituary
Arthur George Pilley, Jr. age 62 entered into Eternal Rest on Sunday August 3rd at home surrounded by his loving family after a three year battle with melanoma. He was born May 6, 1952 in Summit, N.J. and moved to TampaFlorida later that year.
Art Graduated from Jesuit High School (Tampa/Class of 1970).AndSpringHillCollege in (1974) where he was the Class Valedictorian. Art worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for 36 years and retired in late 2013.
Art was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Arthur George Pilley, Sr., and Mother Margaret MacMahon Pilley.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Roti Roti Pilley of Buchanan, Michigan, sisters Mary Pilley Frericks (Donald) , Eileen Pilley Brodsky (Dr. Sidney J. Brodsky, dec.) and Margaret Mary Geraldine Pilley, all of Greenville, SC. Brothers Joseph Pilley of Tampa, and John David Pilley (Marjory) of Viera Fl. Nephews Arthur Nathan Brodsky and David Matthew Brodsky of Greenville, SC, and nieces Emily Margaret Pilley and Sarah Jane Pilley of Viera, FL.
Other surviving family members are Uncle John David and Aunt Eleanor MacMahon, Uncle Bob Willeford, Aunt Marge Pilley and numerous Pilley and MacMahon cousins.
Art was a brilliant, highly educated man who was raised with values instilled by the most loving parents. He exemplified the Jesuit Motto, “A Man for Others.”

A time to visit will be Wednesday August 6th from 5-7 P.M. at Swem Chapel in Buchanan. A service to celebrate his life will be on Thursday August 7th at 10:00 A.M. Emmanuel Baptist church 216 Beeson Rd.Niles, Michigan Pastor Brad Lomax officiating.
