Patsy's Obituary

Heaven gained an amazing person and another angel with the passing of Patsy Gail Wizner, 63, of Niles, MI on Sunday, April 20th, 2014 after a prolonged illness at her home in Niles, MI to Heaven.  Born in Finley, TN,  she was preceded in death  by her husband, David Wizner, her father, George Seratt and one brother, Daniel Seratt; and is survived by her mother, Martha Crunk of Buchanan, MI; her daughter, Stacey Cook of Buchanan, MI; two sons, Todd Boeve of Houston, TX and Troy Vaughn of Newbern, TN; two brothers, James Seratt of Newbern, TN and George Seratt of Florida; three sisters, Julie Baker of Dyersburg, TN; Tina Hendrix of Dyersburg, TN; DeShawn Leger of Dyersburg, TN; seven grandchildren, three great-grand children,  and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.   Patsy was a welder by trade, but a soul healer at heart.  Her presence and caring demeanor enriched the lives of all she came in contact with.  A more perfect daughter, sister, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend couldn’t be found. Her love, kindness, generosity, and beauty will be greatly missed by all the lives she touched.  Patsy’s life was spent in many areas, but her heart never left her home town of Dyersburg.  She enjoyed volunteering at the American Legion, Post 51 (Buchanan) for the Ladies Auxiliary, the Sons of the Legion, and the Legion Riders.  She also had a passion for gardening and bird watching.   Visitation will be at Curry Funeral Home in Dyersburg, TN on Thursday, April 24th from 5-8 pm, and services will be held on Friday, April 25th at 1:00 pm, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am.  It was Patsy’s wish that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s research hospital in Memphis, TN.
