Neale's Obituary
Neale Shreve passed away early Thursday morning. He was surrounded by family in his home, NeMar Farm, in Niles, MI. Neale was born in Niles to Vernal and Mildred (Stevens) Shreve, both deceased. He was the middle child. He is preceded in death by a sister, Doris (Shreve) Letcher and survived by a sister, Carol (Shreve) Sonnenberg.
Neale graduated from BuchananHigh School, where he was captain of the cheerleading team, in 1949. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1952-1954. Neale met his wife through Junior Farm Bureau and married Martha Ann (Marble) Shreve in 1955. They have three children: William Shreve, Steven Shreve, and Susan (Shreve) Roth; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Neale retired from Honeywell (Bendix) in 1994. He was a lifelong farmer and supporter of the boy-scouts and 4-H.
Neale and Martha are members of FirstUnitedMethodistChurch in Buchanan, MI. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at FUMC at 12 noon on Monday September 22, 2014.
