Geraldine Priscilla Heiney

Geraldine Priscilla Heiney, age 92, of Frankenmuth, Michigan, formerly of Buchanan, died Saturday, December 27th at the Lutheran Home in Frankenmuth. She was born October 20, 1922 in Buchanan to the late Robert and Esther (Fuller) Reamer who preceded her in death.  On September 13th, 1941 in Cassopolis, she married Mark E. Heiney who preceded her in death on January 3, 2007. Geraldine is survived by a son, Michael (Margaret) Heiney of Greenville, NC; a daughter, Patricia (Keith) Reinholt of Reese, MI; grandchildren, Jeff Heiney of Chicago, Kelly & Todd Stockmeyer of Reese, MI, and Krista & Mark Hirschmann also of Reese, MI; six great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Esther Florey of Buchanan; a brother in law, Robert & Mary Heiney of Buchanan, MI; a sister-in-law, Anna Mae & Dick Post of St. Joseph, MI; and many nieces and nephews.  Three sisters, Daisy Neidlinger, Bernadine Cramer and Doris Davis, and one brother, Fred Reamer, preceded her in death. Geraldine grew up in Buchanan working in her father’s locker plant and Wisner-Beck Drug store. She also volunteered at Pawating Hospital Gift Shop. A service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, January 5th, at 10:30 a.m. at Swem Chapel in Buchanan, with Pastor Edward Slate of Faith United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery following the service. A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 4th from 3-6 p.m. also at Swem Chapel.
