Mary Dellinger

Mary Dellinger age 94 of Buchanan died on Monday September 15, 2014 at West Woods of Niles, Michigan. Mary was born July 18, 1920 in Dayton Michigan in the family home to the late Edward & Agnes Lampa La Rue Hamilton who preceded her in death. On Mary 31, 1945 in South Bend she married Lawrence (Pete) Dellinger who preceded her in death July 6, 1996. She is survived by two sons: Lou Dellinger of Hortonville, Wisconsin and Ted (Jeannie) Dellinger of Rapid River, Michigan. Other survivors are two Grandchildren: Roxanne (Chris) Mussel & Scott (Teresa) Dellinger and one Great-grandchild: Ryan Mussell. Two sisters: Marjorie Malott and Margaret Leiter both preceded her in death along with her two brothers: Frank and Dale Hamilton. She is also survived by Carol Dellinger former daughter in-law, along with two sisters-in-law; Pat Hemminger and Fern Baldwin of Buchanan and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary graduated from Buchanan High School and the South Bend College of Commerce. She worked for William Desenberg Attorney during WW#2, Buchanan Co-op and LaSalle Federal Savings Bank where she had worked with Bob Koenigshof. The family would like to send a special thank you to West Woods of Niles including her care givers, Karla, Laura, Debbie, Robin, Jenny, Jessica, and Heather & Destiny. Mary was a member of First United Methodist Church in Buchanan and the Buchanan Women’s Business and Professional Association. Mary’s wishes were to not have a funeral service or visitation but would like memorial contributions in her name be made to First United Methodist Church 132 S. Oak Street Buchanan, Michigan 49107.
