Katherine Ruth Trapp

Katherine Ruth Trapp, age 92, of Buchanan died Monday, September 8, 2014 at the Ritter House Senior Living Center Valparaiso, Indiana. She was born May 5, 1922 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Floyd and Gladys (Corteville) Burridge who preceded her in death. On April 19, 1947 in Benton Harbor she married Arthur Trapp who preceded her in death April 23, 1985. She is survived by a daughter Karen (Earl) Brickner of Valparaiso, Indiana; a son Bruce Trapp of Buchanan; grandson Jesse Trapp of Alabama; great grandchildren: Isabell and Alden Trapp also of Alabama; and a niece Janet (Paul) Koehler of Ellenton, FL. A sister Margaret (Gordon) Holmes preceded her in death along with three brothers: Kenneth, DeWayne and Wesley Burridge. Katherine had worked at Electro-Voice in Buchanan for several years and then at Gerber Baby wears in Three Oaks several more years before she retired. A service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, September 15th at 11:00 a.m. at Swem Chapel in Buchanan where friends my visit one hour prior to the service, with Pastor David Mitchell of Faith Victory Fellowship officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan.
