Bonnie Rehmel

Bonnie Eva Rehmel, 69, of Buchanan, died on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Lakeland Medical Center in Saint Joseph, Michigan.  She was born on March 14, 1946 in Galien to the late Lyle and Eva Richter.  She had two brothers, Larry Richter, who preceded her in death, and is survived by Jack Richter, both of Galien. On September 11, 1964 in Buchanan, she married Gary L Rehmel, who preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 2012.  She is survived by three daughters, Margaret (Russell) Duke of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mary (Edward) Stefanek of South Bend, Indiana, and Michelle (Clifford) Wesner of Buchanan; two sons, Gary Lee Rehmel of Buchanan and Jason (Brandy) Rehmel of Buchanan; along with nine grandchildren, Garrett, Grant and Gavin Stefanek, Brooke Wesner, and Emily, Alyssa, Jaxon, Jakob and Johnithan Rehmel. Bonnie had worked at Gerber Corporation in Three Oaks, Michigan for 13 years. Her hobbies and interests included gardening, cooking, socializing with friends and spending time with her family as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 19 at Swem Chapel in Buchanan from 5 to 8 pm.  The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, May 20 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Buchanan, with Father Richard Altine officiating.
