Phyllis Jean Holstein

Phyllis Jean Holstein, 80, of Buchanan passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015 at her home with loved ones at her side. A private celebration of life service will be held at a later date.  Those wishing to leave an online condolence for Phyllis may do so at www.swemchapel.com.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Swem Chapel, 301 Front Street, Buchanan.  Phyllis was born on June 20, 1935 in Niles, MI to the late Lyle and Lillian (Ginder) Webber. After graduating from High School she worked at the former Unity Hospital in Buchanan and Simplicity Pattern in Niles.   She loved to spend time with her family, crocheting, knitting and working in puzzle books. Phyllis is survived by her children, Rhonda and Gary Holstein of Buchanan; four grandchildren, Bobbie, Ashley, Keith and Taylor, of Buchanan; four great-grandchildren Darrin, Blaine, Hunter and Lexi; one, great great-grandchild, Sabryna; and a sister, Betty McKimmey of South Bend.  She was preceded by her parents, her sister JoAnn, and a brother, Bunk Holstein.
