Ann's Obituary
Ann Louise Rose, age 76, of South Bend, formerly of Buchanan, died Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at home. She was born January 29, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Alvin K. & Beatrice (Greene) Coger. On August 29th, 1959 at First United Methodist Church in Buchanan, she married Gene Rose who survives; along with a daughter, Stacy (Mark) Eaton of Tallahassee, FL; one son, Scott (Christine) Rose of Geneva, IL; and two grandchildren, Brandon & Amada Rose. Ann was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin K. Coger, Jr.
A service celebrating her life will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 28th, at First United Methodist Church, 132 S. Oak St., Buchanan. Pastor Rob McPherson will be officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan. A time to visit will be on Friday, March 27th from 6-8 p.m., also at FirstUnitedMethodistChurch. Ann had many interests and many varied work experiences in her lifetime. She was extremely proud of the fact that she had driven a school bus sixteen years for the Buchanan School District, and that she had been an executive secretary for three different pastors at the First United Methodist Church in Henderson, N.C. Ann had also been employed for a period of time at the U.S. Postal Service. She held memberships in friends of Oak Ridge Cemetery, the Buchanan Women of the Moose, and belonged to the Berrien County Genealogy Society, as well being a licensed private pilot.
