Stella Ward

Stella Ward, 72 of Niles, Michigan died Tuesday June 9, 2015 at Lakeland Medical Center in Niles.  She was born February 9, 1943 in Buchanan to the late Wallace and Lola (Pendley) Norris.  On July 7, 1984 she married Richard G. Ward who survives.  Other survivors include two sons, Timothy Norris and Richard Nash both of Elkhart, Indiana.  A Stepson Shawn (Tina) Ward of Powell, Ohio one Stepdaughter Kimberly (David) Bagby of Hillsboro, Ca. Sisters: Evelean Dillavou Niles, and Della (Edsel) Carter also of Niles.  Five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive.  A sister Clara Nelson and a brother Charles Norris preceded her in death. Stella served as president of Ladies Club Circle of Friends in South Bend, Indiana and had worked at Simplicity Pattern in Niles and FAPCO Company in Buchanan prior to retirement seven years ago. Services celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday June 16th at 10:30 a.m. at Swem Chapel with Pastor Jack York officiating.  A time to visit with the family will be on Monday the 15th 4-8 p.m. also at Swem Chapel in Buchanan.  Burial will take place following services at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan.
