Brenda Lynn Dickey

Brenda Lynn Dickey, 54, of Buchanan, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN with her family by her side. Visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M. on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Swem Chapel and Cremation Services, Buchanan. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 also at the funeral home with Pastor Rob McPherson officiating. Burial will follow at Galien Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Transplant and Liver Cancer Research. Online condolences may be made at www.swemchapel.com Brenda was born on May 4, 1962 in Michigan City, IN. She graduated from Galien High School, class of 1980. She then received her Associates Degree from Lake Michigan College. Brenda worked as a Dental Assistant for over twenty years at Red Arrow Dentistry in Bridgman and had most recently worked at Cassopolis Family Dentistry. She never went anywhere without dental floss and was like the families “Private Dentist”. Brenda loved people and always had a welcoming smile on her face. Brenda is survived by her mother, Arlene Dickey; son, Paul Michael Dickey; brother, Brian (Robyn) Dickey; niece, Sarah; nephews, Jonathan and Joshua; many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, John Dickey in 2007.
