Judith Ann Johnson

Judith Ann Johnson, 75, of Niles, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017 surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Swem Chapel, Buchanan with Pastor Rob McPherson officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior from noon to 1 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. Judy was born on November 10, 1941 to the late Harrison and Lillian (Hartline) Moore in Buchanan, MI. On April 25, 1959 she married the love of her life, Morris “Max” Johnson. Max preceded her in death on September 19, 2008 after almost 50 years of marriage. Judy worked at Simplicity Pattern Company for over 30 years before retiring. She was a selfless woman and always put her family first. After retirement Judy was a proud classroom foster grandmother for various school systems. She loved participating in the PACE program. Judy also enjoyed camping, crocheting and most of all spending time with her family. Judy is survived by her children, Patty (Donald) Bosler, Connie Burger, Susan (Roger) Hobson, Johnnie (Angela) Johnson and Judy (John Swilo) Johnson; brother, Richard (Bonita) Moore; sister, Wilma (Lyle) Miller and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison and Lillian; husband, Max; brother, Jessie Moore and sister, Janet Lewis.
