Thelma Eileen Stewart

Thelma Eileen Stewart, 97, of Buchanan, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Wedgewood Pines Assisted Living, 50771 Hollyhock Rd., South Bend. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at noon on December 28, 2017 at Swem Chapel, 301 W. Front St., Buchanan with Pastor David Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 11-12 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Victory Fellowship Church, 13369 Main St., Buchanan, MI 49107. In 1937, she married the love of her life, Ralph Stewart in Jay, Oklahoma. Thelma retired from Electro-Voice and was a member of Faith Victory Fellowship for nearly forty years. She loved flowers, music and most of all, spending time with her family. Thelma is survived by her son, Denzel (Karen) Stewart of South Bend; daughter, Rayma (C. Gorden) Quick of Buchanan; brother, Bill Fields of Jay, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and seventeen great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Alta Fields; husband, Ralph; four brothers and four sisters.
