Mary M. Miller

Mary M. Miller, 88, of Buchanan, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Pine Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 23 at Swem Chapel 301 W. Front St., Buchanan, MI. Burial will follow at Galien Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Monday, January 22 also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. She graduated from Galien High School, class of 1947. In November 1947, she married Lee Miller. In her younger years she enjoyed spending time at their lake house on Lake of the Woods in Decatur. Mary worked for Clark Equipment Company then retired from Allied Education in Galien after over ten years of service. She was an avid reader and always had a book in her hand. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary is survived by her daughter, Beth (Ronald) Weaver; daughter in law, Ruth (John) Peel; grandchildren, Dan (Heather) Miller, Michelle (Jim) Pliske, Andrea Wright and Pamela (Chuck) Landeck; great-grandchildren, Alex Coyle, Aidan Miller, Michael Pliske, Jacob Pliske and David Pliske. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Imo; husband, Lee Miller; son, Dan Lee Miller and by her ten brothers and sisters.
