Vernon P. Trapp

Vernon P. Trapp, 85, of Buchanan, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Hanson Hospice Center. Vernon was born on May 10, 1933, to Paul & Mary (Dinges) Trapp in New Troy, MI.   He graduated from New Troy High School in 1952.  In 1953 Vernon was drafted into the Army where he proudly served his country for two years before being honorably discharged in 1955. On May 29, 1962, Vernon married Marjorie Mitchell at St. Johns UCC in Three Oaks.  He was employed by Bendix Corporation – Allied Signal for over 35 years working on various machines  before his retirement in 1988.   Vernon loved nature and the outdoors but especially enjoyed fishing and hunting.  He also enjoyed cheering on University of Michigan football. Vernon is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marjorie Trapp of Buchanan; siblings, Darlene (Dean) Lockwood of Galien; Allen (Sharon) Trapp of Galien and Jane (Randy) Sandtveit of Caledonia, MI as well as many nieces and nephews. Vernon was preceded in death by his parents Paul & Mary Trapp.
