Ruby Irene Williams

Ruby Irene Williams, 86, of Wasilla, AK, passed away on December 1, 2018. Arrangements have been entrusted to Clark Chapel – 405 Center St., Dowagiac, MI. Ruby was born on April 27, 1932 in Pineville, KY to the late John and Roxie (Artrip) Lewis. On Nov. 11, 1950 in Lawrenceburg, IN she married George Clifford Williams; he preceded her in death on May 29, 2014. Ruby was a faithful child of God, a member of Liberty Chapel in Dowagiac, a true ‘Lady’, and a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Ruby is survived by her children – Linda (Wade) Kiggins of Wasilla, AK, Sharon (Barry) Williams-Roberts of Cincinnati, OH, Diana Williams of Mishawaka, IN, Pamela (Jeffrey) Fritz of LaFollette, TN and George Williams of Decatur, MI; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. She is also preceded in death by a daughter – Deborah Heron. A Celebration of Life service will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2:00pm, at Liberty Chapel in Dowagiac with Pastor Mark Saylor officiating. Family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service at the church from 1:00-2:00pm. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac.
