Roman Kulich

Roman Kulich, 83, of Comstock Park, MI, formerly of Benton Harbor, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2007, at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Daniel Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 P.M., on Monday, July 16, at the funeral home with a Pannykhida Service at 7:30 P.M. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Friends may send the family a condolence message on-line at www.starks-menchinger.com. Roman was born on July 20, 1923, in Janow, Poland to Roman and Agata (Mikitchuk) Kulich. He married Halina “Helen” Gadomski on June 14, 1943 in Janow. They immigrated to the U.S. in 1949. Roman worked for Auto Specialties Corp. in St. Joseph for more then 30 years. Roman enjoyed fishing, playing with his grandchildren, and woodworking, especially making grandfather clocks. He was also a Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed watching the games on television. Roman is survived by his wife, Helen; sons, Leon (Joanne) Kulich of Livonia, MI, Roman T. Kulich of Rochester Hills, MI, and Victor (Julie) Kulich of Comstock Park, MI; and grandchildren, Elizabeth and Johnathon Kulich of Comstock Park, Katherine Kulich of Livonia, Stephanie Kulich of St. Joseph, Andrew (Renee) Kulich of Washington Township, MI, Jeanine (Dennis) Behrendt of Holland, MI, and Michelle (Craig) McKinney of Westland, MI. Roman was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Anna Panasiuk.
