William Whitehead

Steven Whitehead, 55, of Eau Claire, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2015 in Hart, MI.  In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place.  A Memorial service will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations may be made to his family in care of his brother John .  Those wishing to leave a memory or condolence of Steven online may do so at www.clarkch.com.   Steven was born July 26, 1959 in Benton Harbor, MI to William C. and Dorothy (Hilliard) Whitehead.  He graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1977.  Steven joined the Army National Guard and served his country proudly.  Steven enjoyed coaching the football and baseball teams for the Eau Claire High school.  He was a writer for the Herald Palladium newspaper and he also worked as a butcher for Harding’s Market in St. Joseph, MI.  Steven was strong in his faith.  Steven loved his family and will be greatly missed by them.  Steven is survived by his mother, his son Tony Clayton, his daughter Orenda (Norm) Forrest, a stepson Steven Ramsey, his four brothers; John (Vickie) Whitehead, Mike (Dawn) Whitehead, Ted (Katrina) Whitehead and Mickey (Karlene) Whitehead, two sisters; Angie Blunt and Robin Crider and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father William and his grandparents Arthur and Roana Hilliard.
