Elaine Wolf

Elaine Wolf, 91 of Eau Claire, died early Saturday morning, September 26, 2015 at her home. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. The family will gather at a later date to celebrate Elaine’s life. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice at Home of Southwestern Michigan. Those wishing to leave a memory or condolence of Elaine online may do so at www.clarkch.com. Elaine was born January 13, 1924 in Baroda, MI to Grover Cleveland and Olive (Stanard) Shuler. She grew up in the Baroda area and graduated high school to attend Nursing School at Mercy Hospital in Benton Harbor where she earned her nursing degree. Elaine married the love of her life, Eldon G. Wolf, on September 5th, 1948 in Benton Harbor. They spent forty six wonderful years together before his death in 1994. She worked as a nurse for over 35 years at Mercy Hospital in Benton Harbor. Elaine enjoyed cooking and was a member of the “Progressive Home Economics Club” of Silvercreek Township. She was a very “down to earth” lady and worked hard caring for people during her nursing career.   Elaine is survived by her two daughters; Mary (Ed) Menchinger of Grand Rapids and Patty (Doug Murphy) Wolf of East Lansing. She also leaves behind six grandchildren; Stefan Mechinger, Ethan (Talia Zajac) Menchinger,  Olivia Menchinger, Seth Murphy and Caleb Murphy as well as two sisters-in-law, one uncle and many nieces and nephews. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and her three brothers.
