Myrtle Adams

Myrtle M. Adams, 95, of Dowagiac, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at her home in Dowagiac, MI.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, MI with Reverend   Jim Dunn officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00–11:00 AM just prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice At Home. Those wishing to leave a memory or condolence of Myrtle online may do so at www.clarkch.com.  Myrtle was born on December 13, 1923 in Brookland, AR to Clem and Lilly (Askren) Stoker. She married Abram “Slim” Adams in Jonesboro, AR on May 15, 1943. Myrtle enjoyed traveling with her husband and family. She enjoyed playing Yahtzee and other board games. Myrtle was very active in her church and in the Ladies Moose Club.  Myrtle loved her family, including the Konopinski/Bergemann family who adopted her as one of their own.  Myrtle is survived by her grandson Ryan (Cynthia) Reist of Bonnieville, KY; and a sister Edna Smith of Mishawaka.  Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband Slim Adams on May 16, 2012, and her daughter Patricia Reist on Nov. 15, 1975, one brother and two sisters.
