Jeanne Marie Simpson

Jeanne M. Simpson, 54, of Cassopolis, MI, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at home with her sisters by her side.  Jeanne was born August 22, 1961 in Dowagiac, MI to Ralph and Judith (Roberts) Simpson. She graduated from Dowagiac High School in 1981. Jeanne was always willing to do anything for her friends and neighbors. She was a loving sister and a great friend to many. Jeanne enjoyed working on vehicles and doing any kind of carpentry work. She loved her cats, the outdoors and nature, especially her flowering trees and flower beds.  Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Judy Simpson.  Jeanne is survived by her two sisters, Deborah (Robert) Friske and Sandra (Dale) Bruens both of Dowagiac; niece, Ashlee Simpson; nephew, Benjamin Friske; and a great-nephew, Dale; three great-nieces, Joanna, Jillian, and Chloe; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on June 5, 2016 at the V.F.W. Post 1855, 472 E. Division St, Dowagiac, MI. Friends may visit with the family starting at 12:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. with a Memorial Service beginning at 1:30 P.M., with Pastor Doug Cuthbert of the Sister Lakes Community officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Cassopolis, MI. Memorials may be made to the Cass County Cancer Service.
