Yvonne Bournay

Yvonne “Bonnie” Bournay, 87, of Dowagiac, MI passed away peacefully on July 8, 2016 at The Timbers of Cass County. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church, 210 N. Front St., Dowagiac, MI with Fr. Richard Altine officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home or the American Alzheimer’s Association. On April 25, 1959 she married Fred Bournay in Dowagiac. Yvonne worked for Heddon’s in Dowagiac for over 40 Years as well as House Works for 15 years. She was a member of the woman’s VFW Auxiliary in Dowagiac. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family. Yvonne is survived by her daughter Jill (Rick) Hass of Bridgeton, MO; sons Fred (Judy) Bournay and John Bournay of Dowagiac; four grandchildren Erin (Marcus) Hudetz, Rachel (Brian) Rogers, Jacob (Tara) Bournay and Ben (Ashley) Bournay; four great grandchildren Katherine Hudetz, Mia and Nora Rogers and Jack Bournay; sister Marvel DeGraff. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred Bournay, brothers Terrance and George Kidman, sisters Kathleen Krizinski, Maxine Brosnan, Annette Deming, and Delores Kidman.
