Earl Guy Lintner, 71, of Dowagiac, MI passed away on July 15, 2016 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.
A Memorial Service will take place at 3:00pm on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St. Dowagiac, MI. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Earl was born on October 6, 1944 in Harvey, Illinois to Guy R. and Lois (Green) Lintner. On June 12, 1965, he was married to Jean Clair Overtoom in Harvey, IL. Earl retired as a foreman with Exelon, (formerly Commonwealth Edison) after thirty-eight years of service. He was a past-president of the Dewey Lake Association, past-trustee of the Village of Frankfort, IL and a past-president Connecticut Hills Homeowners Association.
Earl was an avid sportsman, a Chicago Bears fan and accomplished gymnast, having earned a scholarship to Southern Illinois University. He will be missed by many friends from Dewey Lake. His grandchildren will always remember their rides on his golf cart.
Earl is survived by his wife, Jean Clair (Overtoom) Lintner, Dowagiac, MI; Three sons, Brian (Katherine) Lintner and their son, Alexander, Winnetka, IL, Christopher (Michele) Lintner and their children, Nicholas and Lauren, Aurora, IL and Adam (Stephanie) Lintner and their children, Addison and Annabelle, Mokena, IL and a sister, Louise Dattillo, Kankakee, IL.
