Robert Dean Archer

Robert “Bob” Dean Archer, 69, of Cassopolis, MI passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Kindred Hospital in Mishawaka, IN. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Keeler Church of God, 61783 County Road 687, Dowagiac, MI with Pastor Boyd Saylor officiating. Bob was born on May 17, 1947 in Dowagiac, MI to Orval & Aletha (Merril) Archer. He married Vicki Walker on May 3, 1980 in Dowagiac. Bob worked for Ameriwood Ind. for 30 years and never missed a day of work unless it was for a funeral.  He enjoyed going to tractor shows, hunting deer and raising animals, at one time he raised fallow deer. Bob was always one who enjoyed a party with his friends and family and was always the first to arrive and the last to leave. Bob is survived by his mother, Aletha Archer of Dowagiac; his wife, Vicki of Cassopolis; son, Bobby Archer of Dowagiac; daughter, Mary (Virgil) Cook of Cassopolis; grandson, William D. Cook; brother, Donald (Betty) Archer of Allegan; sister, Diane Archer-Miller of Dowagiac; nephews, Bill, Buddy, Jimmy Archer, George and Chad Lovell, along with all of their families. Bob was preceded in death by his father and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
