Victoria's Obituary
Victoria K. Howard, 43, of Dowagiac, MI., passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at her home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3:00 P.M., Friday, September 2, 2016 at Sister Lakes Community Church, 67119 M-152, Dowagiac, MI., with Pastor Scott Stambaugh officiating. Friends may visit from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service. The family has requested that everyone attending the service wear her favorite colors- purple or emerald green. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Doug Howard.
Victoria was born April 28, 1973 in Benton Harbor, MI, to Dorothy Peapples. She graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1991. She completed her Associates Degree in Applied Science from Southwestern Michigan College, her Bachelors Degree in Physiology and Criminal Justice from Central Michigan University, her first Masters Degree from Grand Canyon University and was currently working on her second Masters Degree in Counseling. On June 12, 1993 she married Douglas Howard in Stevensville, MI. Victoria loved her boys with all of her heart and was very proud of them. She supported them in everything they did from watching Connor play saxophone and Tristan play trumpet in the band to being the ultimate football/wrestling mom for Tristan and Connor. She was a big supporter of the Dowagiac High School athletics and an avid University of Michigan fan.
Victoria is survived by the father of her children Doug Howard, Jr. of Dowagiac; sons, Tristan and Connor (Marlaina Kiggins) Howard both of Dowagiac; her mother, Dorothy K. Peapples of Dowagiac; mother-in-law, Pat Grannell of Stevensville, MI and father-in-law, Doug Howard, Sr. of Edwardsburg, MI; along with numerous cousins.
